After installation I have sealed the outer edge with Clear Goop and it stays fine.
One year I was lazy and didn't prep the tank correctly and my Stomp grip started to peel. I just peeled it back half way, coated the stomp grip with clear goop and reapplied. Hold it in place until the goop dries with tape and it has never moved since.
Goop fixes everything.
