High Performance School

Postby bikenut » Sun Mar 27, 2016 2:16 pm

I took the school quite a few years ago and entered the beginner group. I have been away from the track for several years but would like to try it again this season and have thought of taking the school again. I am concerned about my physical stamina so want to go into it easy. I am considering the Beginner group again, but at the same time I don't want to hold myself back if I am comfortably able to do this. Does anyone know what type of time brackets I might expect in the intermediate group?
Thanks
Bill

Always a big range in all the groups, so very difficult to place a time on any specific group. Sometimes faster times in 2nd group than the 1st. I would say as quick as 18's to high as low 30's

You have been around the track many times. Just go in the 2nd group at the rear first session. If you are being held up move further up the line as the day progresses.

Hope to see you back racing this year.

Yes I suspected there would be a range John. 18s are outside my range but high 20s shouldn't be too stressful once I get back at it.
Thanks.

I did track school last August and was running around 25's and that was mid pack in "group A"/"faster group" whatever you want to call it. I'd think it would depend on what type of riders are there. I just started in the slower group and worked my way up. Was a great experience so I'm doing track school in May again.

Very best. Will probably meet you. I will sign up for the intermediate group and if I feel I am not able to keep the pace will drop down.
